Watch Out For The New Wave Of Entertainment

Charlie Chaplin had said, “Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain”. A growing tribe of talented stand-up comedians seem to be living by this philosophy and also making a living out of spreading the joy of laughter.
The Komedians undoubtedly succeeded in enlarging the size of the funnybones at the second anniversary open mic which was held on Monday at a city café. The event was powered by well known Global entertainment group Comedy central. It wasn’t just an open mic but a comedy battle between the participants with a prize money.
The host of the event was Yash Choudhary who is one of the best comedians of Nagpur. “We started Nagpur Komedians on March 18 2017, so every year we organize an open mic and celebrate the anniversary”. Says Yash when Social Chuney asked him about the reason of the celebration.
In spite of being a Monday evening, the café was jam-packed. Most of the people were college going students who were fairly relating to the humor crafted by the participants. Ten talented comic artists participated in the competition, some performed for the first time and some were quite familiar with the stage. The participants were not only from Nagpur, but also came from Raipur, Chhattisgarh to showcase their talent.
Yash Choudhary was an entertaining host, he was fun, interactive and confident. Audience was the judges, they were given a list of participants while entering and when all the performances were done, they had to vote for their favorite comic artist. This wasn’t it, there was a face off between top two vote getters. From two of them, Sarthak Patil won the competition and also received the prize money. It was a perfect event to start your week on a joyous note.
Stand-up comedy is finding its fleet in the country. Earlier this year, Yash Choudhary hosted many stand up comedy editions under the banner The Komedians – Nagpur.
